DiveHive for diversFeaturesPassport and paperwork
Free for diversSign once, share what you choose.
Waivers and medical forms stay with each shop, you keep a sealed copy, and your passport shares only the parts you pick. Show your QR at the desk and get on the boat.
From booking to the boat.
Four steps, and the paperwork is never a surprise at the desk.
- Ask to join a trip
Pick your dives. With a shop you have not dived with, share your passport in one tap: only the sections you choose.
- Sign for that shop
When the shop approves, its waiver and medical are waiting. Your details are filled in, you answer the medical fresh and sign with your finger. You keep a sealed PDF copy.
- Get ready
A checklist shows what is still open: paperwork, sizes, what to bring. Add a note for your guide if you like.
- Check in with your QR
Show your personal code at the desk. It shows what is done and what is open, and it works without signal.
Waivers and medical
Sign for each shop, once.
Every shop keeps its own paperwork. There is no shared medical record, so nothing you answer for one shop travels to another.
- Per shop, never shared. Waiver and medical belong to the shop you dive with. The shop owns the record and DiveHive only handles it for them. No other shop can read it.
- Filled in, answered fresh. Your details come from your profile. The medical questions are answered anew for each shop. A yes asks for a physician’s clearance, uploaded as a small file.
- Sign with your finger, keep a copy. You draw your signature on your phone. The document is sealed as a PDF with a record of who signed and when, and your copy stays in the app.
- New wording, new signature. When a shop changes its waiver text, you are asked to sign the new version.
Your passport
One passport, shared your way.
Your passport is a view of what you already keep in DiveHive. You decide, shop by shop and section by section, what each one sees.
- One tap, per section. With a new shop, choose which sections to share: identity and certifications, experience, gear and preferences, emergency contact and insurance status.
- Experience in counts. A shop sees how many dives you have, your deepest and when you last dived. Never which shops, sites or dates.
- Walk in with a QR. Not booked yet? Show your passport code, the desk scans it and you confirm on your phone. The code works once and expires after a few minutes.
- Stop whenever you like. Turn off a section or a shop and it stops updating. Sharing also ends 24 months after your last trip with that shop.
Arrive ready
Show up with nothing left to do.
Check-in, gear sizes and a note for your guide come together before you reach the desk.
- Your check-in QR. A personal code that shows staff your waiver, medical and rental status. It works offline, and it never shows your answers.
- A readiness checklist. For each trip: paperwork, experience, sizes, what to bring and where to meet. Reminders arrive two days before and on the morning.
- A private fit-to-dive check. On the morning you answer a few questions for yourself. The shop sees only a flag, never your answers.
- Sizes, preferences and notes. Keep your gear sizes, usual weights and nitrox preference once, and the shops you dive with see them. Add private notes per dive, and a short note for your guide if you want one.
If something goes wrong
An emergency card that works offline.
Your own card holds what a rescuer or a doctor would ask for. You decide what goes on it.
- Your SOS card. Emergency contacts, dive insurance and hotline, DAN membership and help nearby for where you are, all available without signal.
- Health basics are optional. Allergies, medication or conditions go on the card only if you add them, after a clear explanation. You can take them off at any time.
- Who can open it. Staff only in an emergency: the guide, captain or owner of a trip you are on, that day, with a reason and a notice to you, or the incident report you are part of.
- Insurance info. Keep your dive insurance on your profile. Shops you book with see only whether you are insured and until when. The number and card are shared only if you allow it for that shop.
Your paperwork, your say.
No shared medical record. Answers are given fresh for each shop, and they never appear on the Board, in notifications or in analytics.
Each passport section is shared only with your consent, shop by shop, and you can turn it off again.
Every signed waiver and medical comes with a sealed PDF copy in your app.
A shop sees how much you have dived, never which shops, sites or dates.
Everything in passport and paperwork.
Each feature in a line or two, grouped by what you want to do.

Questions about passport and paperwork
More in the diver FAQ.
Is my medical form shared between shops?
No. Waiver and medical are per shop, and each shop owns its record. You answer the medical questions fresh for every shop, and no shop can see what you answered for another.
Who sees my medical answers?
The shop’s owner and admins. Other staff see only whether your paperwork is signed, needs clearance or has expired. Medical answers never appear on the Board, in notifications or in analytics.
Do I get a copy of what I signed?
Yes. Each signed waiver and medical comes with a sealed PDF copy in the app.
What does my passport share with a shop?
Only the sections you choose: identity and certifications, an experience summary, gear and preferences, emergency contact and insurance status. Experience is shared as counts, never other shops’ names, sites or dates. Medical forms are never included.
Can I stop sharing my passport?
Yes. Turn off a section or a whole shop in your privacy settings and live updates stop. What a shop already received for a booking stays in its records, under its own retention rules. Sharing also ends 24 months after your last trip with that shop.
What if a shop is not on DiveHive?
You can send a passport PDF, or a read-only link that works for 24 hours, with the sections you choose. What you entered yourself is marked as self-declared.
Can a junior diver use this?
Yes. A linked guardian signs the waiver and medical for each shop and manages what is shared. At 18 the account is handed over to the diver.
