DiveHive for diversFeaturesLogbook and achievements
Free for diversEvery dive, signed and kept.
Your guide signs the log, DiveHive fills in your copy and your logbook keeps it. Add dives of your own, watch your numbers grow and take it all with you.
From the boat to your logbook.
Four steps, and you never have to chase anyone for a signature.
- Dive with your guide
After the dive your guide writes one log for the whole group, even without signal.
- Your copy arrives
When the guide signs, a personal log lands in your logbook, already filled in, and you get a “log ready” notice.
- Make it yours
Add your tank, gas, weights and notes. Change a dive fact and your guide is asked to confirm it.
- Keep it and share it
Stats, achievements and your journey build up. Export it all, or share a card of one dive.
Verified logs
A log your guide signed, filled in for you.
You do not write the basics twice. The group log becomes your personal log, and your guide’s signature is what makes it count.
- Filled in, then yours. Site, times, depth, temperature, visibility, current and sightings arrive ready. Add your tank, gas, pressure, weights and notes.
- Verified means signed. A dive is verified when your guide has signed it. Change the site, time or depth and your guide is asked to confirm. If nobody answers within 14 days, it stays marked as edited by you.
- Corrections stay in the open. For seven days after signing, your guide can fix a mistake. Your copy updates with one notice, then the log is locked.
- Honest about what happened. Sat out, ended early, turned back with your buddy: your guide notes it on your log and it stays verified.
Your own dives
Log the dives DiveHive was not on.
Your logbook is the whole story, not only the dives made with a shop that uses DiveHive.
- Dives from anywhere. Add dives you did before DiveHive or with someone else. They are marked as your own entries, never as verified.
- Numbering that carries on. Enter how many dives you had when you started, and every new dive continues from that number.
- Works without signal. Your dives and your logbook live on your phone. What you write offline syncs when you are back online.
- Firsts from before. Add the first drift dive or the first night dive you remember, labelled as self-reported.
Stats and achievements
Your numbers, and the milestones you reach.
Everything you log adds up, from your first dive to your thousandth.
- Lifetime stats. Dives, hours, deepest dive, sites, regions and species seen, with your starting number included. A switch shows the numbers from signed logs alone.
- By site, type and depth. Dives per site, region and country. Night, boat, shore, drift and wreck dives. Depth and dives per month.
- Achievements. Dive-count milestones, your first night, wreck and deep dives, and the number of different sites and regions you have dived.
- Your year in diving. Each January, or whenever you ask: dives, hours, new sites, your deepest dive and your best sighting. Share it, or turn it off.
Journey and replay
Look back at how you grew.
The logbook also tells the story of your diving: where you went, what you learned and how each trip went.
- My journey. A timeline, newest first: your first night dive, first wreck, deepest so far, certifications and courses. Each entry opens its log.
- My sites. A map and a list of the sites you have dived, region by region. Star the ones you want to dive next.
- Dive replay. After a trip, a summary of the day from meeting point to back on shore: the dive profile, your group, sightings and conditions.
- Share what you choose. A dive card, a year recap or a replay, as an image or a link you can revoke. No companions’ names, no guide notes.
Your logs are yours.
Export your whole logbook as a PDF or as JSON, any time.
Only a guide’s signature makes a dive verified. Everything else says what it is.
Public pages never show your dives. You decide what to share, and private mode keeps it all to yourself.
Your dives and your logbook are on your phone, so they are there on the boat and on the beach.
Everything in the logbook.
Each feature in a line or two, grouped by what you want to do.

Questions about the logbook
More in the diver FAQ.
Who can verify a dive?
Only the guide who led it. When your guide signs the group log, your personal log is verified. Dives you add yourself are labelled as your own entries.
Can I edit my log?
Yes. Your gear, gas, weights, notes and own sightings are yours to change and never need checking. If you change the site, time or depth, your guide is asked to confirm. If nobody answers within 14 days, the log stays marked as edited by you and not verified.
Can I log dives I did without DiveHive?
Yes. Add them as your own entries and set the number your numbering starts from. They count in your totals and are never shown as verified.
Who can see my logbook?
You do. Public pages never show your dives. What buddies and others see follows your privacy settings, private mode keeps everything to yourself, and you can revoke any link to a card you shared.
Can I take my logbook with me?
Yes. Export it as a PDF or as JSON from the logbook or from your data settings, whenever you like.
Does the logbook work without signal?
Yes. Your dives and your logbook are on your phone, and anything you write offline syncs when you are back online.
